Flag of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam

2

The Vietnamese flag carries the colors that are very popular in this part of the world – red and yellow. Red is the background and yellow fills a pentagonal star in the middle of the flag.

The design of the flag is a symbol of the struggle against French domination. Each star represents different population groups that have contributed to socialism in Vietnam – peasants, workers, intellectuals, youth, and soldiers.

This star must mention national unity, this is a very important concept for a country that has suffered a lot of turmoil.

By 1975, Vietnam was northern and southern parts, that China supported North Vietnam. After the Vietnam War, the countries reunited.

History

Most Vietnamese and the international community has known the flag to that foretells a united and independent Vietnam.

Outside of time, symbolism evolved and the original color scheme was adopted by socialist and then communist causes.

Since then, this red nucleus has become the basis for a number of communist or democratic socialist nations – namely China, North Korea, Macedonia – to name a few.

In Vietnam, a pentagonal gold star with a red background was first used in the early 1940s when a communist group called Wittman flew in opposition to the Japanese occupation.

At that time, the French were in fact the main occupiers of what was then called French Indochina, but their global influence was greatly diminished as a result of Nazi Germany.

At the same time, Japan, with its imperialist mentality, tried to enter French Indochina in a war with China, trying to close its border with its northern neighbors.

The French initially resisted, but once weakened, to their home, allowing Japanese troops to enter. Under the guise of liberating Vietnam from Western oppressors, Japanese forces moved into the country.

As World War II approached, Ho Chi Minh, the leader of the Northern Powers, declared Vietnam independent and the flag became the official emblem of North Vietnam, or the Democratic Republic of Vietnam.

A separate flag, one with a yellow back and three horizontal red stripes, became the flag of the French-occupied territory in Vietnam and eventually the Republic of Vietnam in the south.

As Ho Chi Minh fought and finally succeeded in creating a united Vietnam, the yellow flag destroyed and the flag we know today became a symbol of a nation.

The meaning of the flag

The Vietnam flag has a very simple design but has a deep meaning behind it. The flag has a five-pointed star in the center. Each point of the star represents the main classes of society in Vietnam.

One point is the representation of intellectuals. The second point represents farmers.

Another means representing the workers. Merchants are represented by the fourth point, and it is the army personnel of the last class who is the symbol of this national flag.

Colors

The flag of Vietnam has only two colors. The flag has a red square designed to symbolize the national uprising of the Vietnamese people. The center has a golden five-pointed star that symbolizes the main classes of society in the country.

These colors are under the pseudonym of the flag, which translates into English as a “red flag with a golden star”.

History of Vietnam

In 1802, Mr. Nguyen Ann, who united the north, center, and south of the cities of Tunken, Anam, and Cushin Xin, founded the Vietnam Empire, and it was not until the 1860s that the French intervened.

They created the above-mentioned territory and in 1887 formed the Indo-Chinese alliance, which included Cambodia and Laos.

Anti-colonial uprisings erupted in 1930, bringing them 40 years of war and occupation, and the Japanese occupation of Vietnam in 1940 led to the formation of a puppet government under the Bandai Empire.

The Communist leader of Vietnam (Ho Chi Minh) formed Vietnam in 1941 as a guerrilla army against the Japanese, and at the end of the American War came to Vietnam’s aid. France also declared Vietnam a free country in 1946.

Ho Chi Minh left Hanoi to wage a guerrilla war against the colonialists and returned to the throne with Udai.

Witmin (Prime Minister) occupied all of Tunken for years, and after a 55-day siege of Dinh Binh Fu, captured the French. Brought to his knees.

In July 1954, the Geneva Peace Treaty divided Vietnam into the Communist Region (north) and the Baudouin Prefecture.

Also, in 1956 the North refused to run in the by-elections, creating Baudin and declaring Negudin Diem in southern Vietnam Republic.

In 1961, President Kennedy sent military advisers to help suppress the repressive religious regime (communist guerrillas in southern Vietnam), and the United States began regular airstrikes in 1964, ending this period.

Nearly 250,000 American troops were engaged in war and insurgency each year.

Peace talks began in 1969, but the following year the United States fought the Viet Cong in Cambodia, Laos, and finally officially ended in 1993, resuming after the US withdrew.

Many people today believe that there is war and insecurity in Vietnam if the country has been incomplete peace for years.
